Annual Alaska Long Board Surf Festival

TRAVEL You can use Era Aviation or Alaska Airlines to get to Cordova mile 13 airport. Flights to Hook Point will be via bush plane companies in Cordova. We have several bush plane companies on standby pre booked for the event. Currently the round trip to Hook Point is running about $150. You will need to be in Cordova no later than Wednesday. We will start shuttling people out early Wednesday morning (Aug 7). There will be a reception 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Orca Lodge covering event schedules, everyone needs to be in attendance. Shuttle vans rides from the airport into town will be provided if you are staying the night at Orca Lodge. Return flights will begin early Sunday morning (Aug 11) back to Cordova, some of you will have return flights that day, be ready. This is Alaska, flights get weathered in all the time, this could be an extended surf trip if you know what I mean. If you can, a flight out of Cordova on Monday is better, be flexible.
