GEAR Sleeping: A good bag, it will be cold at night, therm-a-rest are good, and light. This isn’t a John Wayne movie, leave the bed roll at home. Clothes: This is a rain forest, get the picture, a light set of rain gear is way smart. Remember cotton kills! Lots of polypro, pile and gortex goes a long way. Basic camping gear (keep it light): Flashlights, gortex hiking boots/rubber boots, some basic light weight cook gear, knife, no guns permitted (leave em at home), September temps can be 55/day, freezing/nights.
